Dr. Mauro obtained her Doctor of Psychology in 2014 from Marywood University.
She is a clinical psychologist and operates her own private practice in Yardley, Pennsylvania
Dr. Mauro is bilingual (Polish and English) and offers services in both languages.

Dr. Mauro has treated survivors of trauma for over five years. She has worked directly and almost exclusively with trauma and has treated trauma cases. Dr. Mauro completed her internship and postdoctoral hours at Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI), a non-profit organization (located in Philadelphia) that provides expert clinical care for individuals suffering from the effects of trauma. She continued to work at JJPI as a psychologist and provided therapy and conducted evaluations.
Dr. Mauro has training in evidenced based treatment for treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in adults. Specifically, she was trained by Dr. Foa's team and is certified in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy.
Dr. Mauro also has training in evidenced based treatment for treating PTSD in children and adolescents. She is trained in providing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
EVALUATIONS
Dr. Mauro has conducted over 500 psychological evaluations for trauma survivors. She also supervised evaluations conducted by mental health clinicians.
Being an immigrant herself, Dr. Mauro conducts immigration evaluations to help immigrants and their families through the immigration process.
Cognitive behavioral: Dr. Mauro's approach to treatment is based on the belief that our thoughts and feelings shape our actions. Dr. Mauro believes that these thoughts can be challenged that will lead to fundamental ways in which the person copes.
Interpersonal: Dr. Mauro believes that our foundation for forming and maintaining relationships stems from our childhood and past experiences with relationships. Dr. Mauro believes that the quality of interpersonal relationships can be improved.
Humanistic: Dr. Mauro believes that every person is unique and has the potential for growth. Dr. Mauro believes that the relationship of the psychologist and patient is equal.
